Cheddar Smash Burgers

Made with simple ingredients, and by far the best part: sharp cheese with tons of flavor.

My smash burgers put all fast food and restaurant burgers to shame! They are full of flavor and always a hit at every family gathering.

Prep Time: 15 minutes

Cook Time: 20 minutes

Total Time: 35 minutes

Course: Main Dish

Cuisine: American

Servings: 12

You can divide the ingredients in half to make a smaller batch or double it to make it larger

Ingredients

  • 3lbs Ground Beef

  • Garlic Powder

  • Onion Powder

  • Paprika

  • Red Pepper Flakes

  • Salt

  • Ground Black Pepper

  • Sliced Cheese (I use sharp cheddar)

Directions

  • Season your ground beef to taste and roll into balls. I usually make 1/4lb patties by splitting each lb of beef into 4 balls.

  • Heat your skillet on Med-High. Place a ball on the skillet and smash it down with the backside of a pan using parchment paper to prevent sticking.

  • Cook your smashed beef patties on both sides for 3-4 minutes or until desired brownness is achieved.

  • Add cheese and allow the heat from the beef patty to melt it

  • Serve warm with your desired toppings and enjoy!!

Storage

Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in a skillet or in the microwave.

Substitutions

• You can add any cheese you would like.

• You can also adjust the amount of seasonings to your taste. I like to add all of mine to taste.
